Time to get out your scorecards and cross another player off the local Chicago brewer lineup. Ten-Ninety Brewing, established in 2012, has closed down their Glenview brewery and taproom. There has been no announcement, but neighbors report their building has gone dark, their socials were last updated in November, and Google lists it as “Permanently Closed.”
Ten-Ninety started as a contract brewer at Big Chicago brewing in Zion. In 2014, they took over Big Chicago, continuing to brew for its other clients, Cahoots, Middle Brown, and Big Shoulders. They later closed the contract operation and moved to Glenview. Ten-Ninety had placed some bottled beers in stores, and on taps, in the early 2010s, but I had not heard much from them since.
Meanwhile, I have one preview event for Revolution’s next Deep Wood release. The full release takes place Friday at their taproom. Stay tuned!
Our header image: We had to offer a little tribute to Bob Uecker! Could this be related to the growing number of Euchre events in town?
