Hey, all! Got back Monday from taking my 2nd child to view the solar eclipse. They had spent two weeks fighting flu and pneumonia symptoms, but was not going to let this opportunity pass by. For science!
Industry Ales, the new brewpub in Chicago’s Loop (on Wabash, right under the El tracks) has announced it’s having its Grand Opening this weekend!
And Goose Island has announced May 3 as the opening date for its new brewpub location. After closing their original Clybourn location a few months ago, they are planning to open next to the new Chicago concert venue, at 1357 N. Elston Ave. More info at Block Club Chicago.

But I reply to nudge you to *logon to Eventbrite* and check for beer-related events. Perhaps once a month would be effective.
_You completely missed_ the 5th Annual Northwest Brewfest {but to be frank, I missed the first four} on Sat., the 13th @ Guild Row @ 3130 N. Rockwell St. in Chicago. I found it on Eventrbrite one day before.
Actually I found my note and added it a bit late, but still in time for people to catch it and check it out. Sometimes I have to pump a calendar out before I’ve filled it with all the events.
