Flapjack
Berwyn’s Flapjack Brewery has been working through some financial issues, and had put itself up for sale, with the idea of keeping the brewpub going. This week, though, they decided to take themselves off the market and keep going:
Over the past several months, we’ve been humbled by the incredible support from our customers, staff, friends, and community. That support reminded us why we started this journey in the first place and why we still love what we do.
We’re excited to continue doing what we love and serving the community that has supported us from day one.
As we move forward, we’ll be implementing several changes to make the customer experience even better. Full table service will replace self-service, we’ll be expanding our beverage menu, and you’ll see a broader lineup of seasonal menu offerings.
To help make this next chapter a reality, we will also be hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser. The goal is to raise funds for improvements and investments that will help us continue growing and enhancing the Flapjack experience. More details will be announced soon.
World Cup
The US team is confirmed for the Round of 32, taking place on July 1 at 7 pm. At this writing, the most likely opponent is Bosnia-Herzegovina. I’m still going through venues that will be showing the match with beer. Just assume that any place that was showing the USMNT before will have it again.
