Emmett’s Brewing
Emmett’s Brewing Co. announced it has been sold to one of its original employees.
Rob Kwiatek started as a sous chef when the West Dundee location opened in 1999. He rose to become CEO of the brewery and restaurant. The founder, Andy Burns turned to Kwiatek last fall when he decided to step back. (Daily Herald)
Emmett’s currently runs brewpubs in West Dundee and Palatine. They had also run locations in Downers Grove and Wheaton.
World Cup
This is the third or forth time that I’m trying to list good beer places where the World Cup can be viewed. I’m just attracted to the idea of partisans from all around the world gathering to cheer on their teams over beers.
Each county that I’ve mentioned in the listings usually has an emoji of the flag attached. However, I’ve found that there are still some current browsers that still can’t show some of these more recently created emojis. Kind of odd, I know. I’m pretty certain those beer mug emojis are pretty universally recognized, and I waited some years to get that little map emoji in my lasting addresses. Anyway, if you see my listings with big “MEX” or “CUW“s after the country names, you may want to update.
