Hey, some good news to report for a change.
In February, Liquid Love Brewing announced that their landlord would not be extending the lease in their Buffalo Grove brewery past April. Their scramble for a new location was marked by several offers and calls of support. And on April 4, Liquid Love announced:
“We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with District Brew Yards in Wheeling! This collaboration ensures continuity in brewing your favorite Liquid Love beers and the close proximity to our original home.”
The deal has Liquid Love joining Twisted Hippo, Around the Bend, Burnt City and Casa Humilde in a “pour your own” beer spot. But their search for a permanent brewing home will go on.
And this month, Crust Brewing has opened a tap room in the city, at 3000 W. Irving Park Rd. the site is the former Leader Bar. The new place will feature tavern-cut pizza instead of the Neapolitan pies made at main site. Crust will continue brewing at its main place in Rosemont, at the former HofBrau Haus Chicago.
