That part of the yearly hoo-hah over Goose Island’s Bourbon County Stout release, the lottery for the rare Proprietor’s variant, is now underway.
For those folks who can’t wait till Black Friday, Prop Day offers the first chance to taste the upcoming line-up as well as an opportunity to take home the first bottles of Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout.
Sign-ups are being taken on the Oznr app for single pickups ($180) or Single with guest ($360). The lottery will close on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
Winners will be notified on October 19, 2022, via email confirmation and app notification.
If selected, your purchase will go through automatically and you’ll receive a follow up email about which session you’re attending. According to Goose Island:
“The 2022 Proprietor’s Bourbon County Brand Stout is inspired by a love for cocktails and the vibrant hospitality industry here in Chicago. This recipe was dreamed up after two of our brewers, Jason Krasowski and Paul Cade, spent a night out on the town trying some of the best cocktails the city has to offer. The result is a brewer’s take on a jungle bird cocktail that combines banana, coconut, lime, and a new ingredient for the Bourbon County Stout family – pineapple. The flavors are innovative and fresh, but also share common expressions found in both bourbon and our Original Bourbon County Stout but bring out flavors unlike any other Proprietor’s before. Proprietor’s Stout will bring Chicagoans down to the tropics this Bourbon County Stout season, a welcome escape from the Chicago cold.”
