Free tickets for Chouffe Fest Chicago, May 1

So now that spring is finally, irrevocably (probably) here, it’s time to get a few of you out to some beer fests! Here’s a new event in town that I have a pair for:

From Chouffe Fest Miami: Big chair, gnome hats, silly photos… and beer!
From Chouffe Fest Miami: Big chair, gnome hats, silly photos… and Belgian beer!

Chouffe Fest 2014 is a traveling festival celebrating the Belgian beers of Brasserie d’Achouffe (named for its home town of Achouffe, Belgium). The brewery was founded in 1982 by two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts, and is recognized by a gnome mascot on their labels. Chouffe Fest will see samplings of their three main U.S. imports, in styles not usually seen in Belgian beers: La Chouffe Blond Ale, Mc Chouffe Belgo-Scottish Ale, & Houblon Chouffe IPA Tripel.
Beer (and gnome) lovers will taste Chouffe’s magical Belgian brews, sample delicious eats from Wagyu Wagon and dance along to infectious tunes from Black Bear Combo for an unforgettable night of gnome-i-fied merrymaking.
Chouffe Fest celebrates the beloved brewery’s mystical heritage by making guests feel like the pint-sized creatures with giant props, Jenga — even a gnome throne for hilarious pics. Stop-animation gnomes will parachute off the Sears Tower and Field Museum of Natural History.
Tickets are $10 through Eventbrite, for beer tastings and food samples.

But…

The fest organizers have been kind enough to deal out a pair of tickets for a Beeronaut reader! How to get them?
Just add your comment to the Facebook comment section below this article by Noon, April 27. At that time, I’ll draw one winner to get both tickets, to get your e-mail address so I can pass along to the organizers. Then head on over Thursday night, have a few beers, get a picture taken in a big prop chair; it’s all good!
Yes, it’s another devious plan to build page views. But there’s beer at the end of it! They even provided a video:
