There’s one weekend event coming up I oughta pass along now.
Three Floyds Brewing is marking its 30th anniversary with a special release of its Dark Lord, a Russian Imperial Stout made with coffee, Mexican vanilla and Indian sugar. While this big beer is usually “unbarreled,” the Dark Lord XXX will be an exclusive bourbon barrel-aged variant. The DL-XXX will be offered Saturday October 24, starting at noon at their Munster brewery kiosk.
The Floyds will also be debuting a Dark Lord Whiskey. This liquor was aged seven years in new American oak, then finished in emptied Dark Lord barrels. Both the beer and whiskey will also be found at select retail outlets.
