It looks like there may be rain and even storms into this weekend. A lot of places I usually post event for have had the power go out almost all day. If you are making plans, please do phone ahead or check socials.
I am indeed trying to keep doing small updates to this site. At one point I’ll have some static pages about places I’ve visited amd their beers I’ve sampled. And I continue trying to rescue beer pictures to match with my reviews and articles.
Last year, I experimented with using ChatGPT to make up generic header images. Simple things, like bears drinking beer wear Bears helmets, beer bottles dancing at Versailles, etc. They turned out… all right. Just not really interesting. Cut to today: so many brewer and bar accounts are promoting events using ugly, ugly AI posters. Too dark to read, all using the same typefaces, misspelled, etc. Now you wouldn’t just put up an AI generated band for Friday night? Or use an AI recipe for your next beer? Then for pity’s sake get someone to DRAW something. Or risk getting ignored.
