Brother Chimp North Aurora
A sort of another closing in the Chicago beer scene: Brother Chimp Brewing announced they are closing their original brewing space in North Aurora:
…With a heavy heart, we’ve made the decision to close our North Aurora location when our lease ends in July. We’ve always tried to be transparent—our plan was to stay here and move into a new space. But with both taproom and commercial sales slumping, signing a new lease and going through a buildout are just not viable options right now.
While the original site will end service in three months, they report their St. Charles brewery is going strong, and that operations will be consolidated there.
Brother Chimp was founded in 2020 by homebrewer Steve Newman, who took part in the incubator program offered by Skeleton Key Brewery. The St. Charles location was opened last September, in the former D&G Brewing facility.
