Beer this Weekend Around Chicago, November 6-8

I’m somewhat back in action, enough to post a weekend listing with the major beer events, and to fill in some more as I go along. The Bears are in a Sunday Night game, then a bye weekend. Weird schedule. But I’ll be fitting in more beer places that will be open the for game that evening.

Once again, no Bears game this Sunday, so I have time to load in more Halloween events. And we are getting into the busy season with Black Friday events coming up. Hang on!

Black Lung:

The contraction of the beer market is not done yet. Black Lung Brewing in Grayslake has announced they will be closing November 28. Again, the main issues are continuing inflation and a downturn in business.

Now we want to finish together. We are hopeful you will come out in November and drink all the beer. We have a lot brewed and a lot ready to package, and we will have great specials all November, including pints at $6 for the rest of November. So get in here and say goodbye. We will miss you all.

Open Bottle Lockport:

November 28 will also be last day of service at the Open Bottle beer store in Lockport. They have posted:

If you preordered Bourbon County with us, like all previous years, please remember we have two days for pickup: 11/27 and 11/28. Shipping orders will go out the week of 11/29.
Between now and the 28th, you’ll see some sales pop up around the shop. Our hours may shift a bit between now and then as we work around our schedules, so check our page or message us before you make the trip.
November 28th will be our final day. We hope you’ll enjoy one final pour with us before the lights shut off.
