Flatlander’s Restaurant and Brewery, a mainstay brewpub in the northern suburbs since 1996, has announced they will be leaving their location at 200 Village Green in Lincolnshire. Last call there will be January 22.
According to the linked article, Flatlanders will be opening a new restaurant in Vernon Hills, and moving its brewing operations to Mundelein. The new corporate entity will be named Old Chicago Brewing Co., but will still produce beers under the Flatlander’s name. Whether this might lead to an expansion to retail bottle and cans is not yet known. The new brewing location would put them in the same vicinity as the new Tighthead Brewing at 161 N. Archer Ave.
