Our Beermiscuous-Highwood coworker Ethan is having surgery later this summer, and we'd like to help him out in the meantime. Grace and Austin will be donating tips from the day to make sure Ethan has a little bit less to worry about while he's healing up after this procedure, one that should ameliorate some longstanding health issues. Come celebrate with us all day Saturday, the 13th, for Ethan.

World Cup at Beermiscuous

Our beloved and two time silver medal winning Grodziskie returns this Saturday on draft and in cans to-go. We teamed up with Midwest Smoke BBQ to bring their delicious BBQ which is guaranteed to pair perfectly with our Polish oak-smoked wheat lager.
Grodziskie is the only beer style invented by Poland which features 100% oak-smoked wheat malt for a kielbasa-like aroma, Tomyski and Marynka Polish hops, and is carbonated to very high volumes for extra spritz! Commonly referred to as the “Polish Champagne.”

The story of Grodziskie is one of our favorites to tell, because without home brewers, beer drinkers in the US would probably never know this heritage beer.
A specialty beer of its namesake town in Poland, it nearly went extinct 30 years ago when the last commercial Grodziskie brewery closed in 1993. Polish homebrewers took it upon themselves to preserve this legacy style by hosting country-wide homebrew competitions every summer, inviting the last of those brewery employees to judge.
As craft beer came to Poland in later years, newer breweries started to bring Grodziskie beers back into commercial production. Soon enough, it also influenced a generation of American brewers, like us, who brought the style stateside. More recently, Grodziskie Day was established, and is observed worldwide on a Saturday in June.
Cool and refreshing, Grodziskie is a soft summer beer that goes down nice and easy. Dovetail’s version is 100% oak-smoked wheat (Brewers’ note: a very fun lauter!), with light, citrus-like overtones and just a surprising hint of spice and smoke in the backnotes.

This Saturday from 2 to 5 pm, we are hosting the 5th Annual My Best Friends Foundation Cornhole Tournament!
This is a really fun way to help raise money to help others by playing bags (Cornhole to some) with your friends. You can help a great cause and possibly win some prizes. My Best Friends Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Schaumburg, Illinois. MyBFF was founded to raise money and provide support for those that need it while fighting cancer, and to provide support for families who have lost someone to cancer. The Foundation also raises money to help fund cancer research.
Join the fun to play bags, enjoy food and drinks, and spend some time with friends.
There will have a Recreational and a Competitive division. Depending on the number of teams, we will have at least 1st and 2nd, and possibly 3rd place prizes in each Division. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle, and a Beer Pull.
With your participation, MyBFF can continue to provide assistance to our current "Friends" and support more "Friends" in need.
