Once again, I’m all tied up with paying jobs, and with a paper I’m writing:
The Popular Culture Association, the field in which I got my Masters Degree, is having its annual meeting in Chicago this week. When it was last in Chicago in 2014, I hosted the first session on beer culture. Well, that’s come a long way, but I haven’t been able to keep up, what with keeping a family going. This year, I’m doing a presentation in the Comic Book section… assuming I get it written in the next five days.
I’ve learned that Evil Horse Brewing, down south in Crete, will be stopping its brewing operation. They will continue as a beer bar, with an ongoing event schedule, and occasional tap takeover by other brewers.
There have not been a lot of March Madness-oriented events that I’ve found. I’m probably missing a lot of them, discounted the many places that’ll simply have the TV on.
